Matthew Cherry is Chief Financial Officer at Gemcorp Capital, where he is responsible for overseeing the firm’s finance operations and supporting strategic financial management across the business.

Matthew focuses on managing the company’s budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis, providing financial insight that underpins planning, decision-making and long-term growth. His role spans financial control, reporting and forward-looking analysis, helping ensure that Gemcorp’s operating and investment ambitions are supported by a robust financial framework.

Prior to joining Gemcorp in 2020, Matthew worked in audit at BDO in the UK, where he trained as an accountant and built a foundation in financial reporting, controls and regulatory standards. He was previously the Group’s Corporate Financial Controller and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis.
