Viloshan Govender is a Portfolio Manager in the Investments and Structuring team at Gemcorp Capital, where he focuses on the execution and management of private credit investments across emerging markets.

Viloshan began his career in South Africa as a Chartered Accountant with PwC, before moving into investment banking roles at Barclays Africa Group and Standard Bank Group in Johannesburg. Across these roles, he specialised in originating, structuring and executing bespoke debt and leveraged finance solutions, with a particular focus on structured capital across the African continent.

Since joining Gemcorp in 2021, Viloshan has worked within the private credit investment team, bringing more than a decade of experience in specialised lending and transaction execution. His interest in emerging markets is shaped by his upbringing in South Africa, where he saw first-hand the impact that economic development and access to capital can have on growth and opportunity.

Viloshan holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, is a Chartered Accountant and has passed CFA Level II.
