Shurong (Sharon) Li is a Vice President in the Investments team at Gemcorp Capital, where she focuses on investments across fintech, power and infrastructure sectors in emerging markets.

Sharon’s interest in emerging markets is shaped by personal experience. Growing up in China during a period of rapid economic transformation, she witnessed first-hand how access to capital and investment can unlock growth and improve living standards. This perspective continues to inform her work, driving her commitment to support development across other emerging economies through disciplined investment.

Prior to joining Gemcorp in 2019, Sharon worked in investment banking at BNP Paribas, where she focused on European infrastructure and energy companies, building experience in project finance and sector analysis.

Sharon holds a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and is a CFA charterholder.
