Jan Eventov     

Portfolio Manager

Jan Eventov is a Portfolio Manager and Execution Trader for Gemcorp Capital’s publicly traded emerging markets fixed income strategy. His mandate spans sovereign and corporate debt issued globally, with a particular focus on Eurobonds from emerging and frontier economies.

Jan’s passion for emerging markets is rooted in personal experience. Growing up in post-communist Slovakia during its transition to a market economy, he witnessed first-hand the structural changes, challenges and opportunities that shape developing economies. This perspective continues to inform his approach to sovereign and corporate credit investing today.

Prior to joining Gemcorp in 2016, Jan worked on the emerging markets credit trading desk at Citi in London. His career also includes roles at BlackRock, Barclays Investment Bank and Goldman Sachs, building a strong foundation in global credit markets and trading.

Jan holds a BSc in Economics & Finance from the University of Southampton and is a CFA charterholder.
