Eihorere Wesigye      

Vice President

Eihorere Wesigye is a Vice President in the Investments and Structuring team at Gemcorp Capital, where he focuses on private credit, special situations and private equity investments across emerging markets.

Eihorere brings experience across both principal investing and private credit, with a background in complex and distressed opportunities in emerging economies. Prior to joining Gemcorp in 2025, he was an Investment Manager at British International Investment, specialising in distressed equity and debt investments across Africa and Asia. Earlier in his career, he worked at Investec within the principal investments team and at Ninety One in the private credit team, working on a broad range of structured and opportunistic transactions.

Having spent much of his life living and working in emerging markets, Eihorere believes in the power of well-structured capital to unlock opportunities in dynamic but often underserved markets, helping to support economic and social development.

Eihorere holds an MBA from INSEAD (with distinction). He is a Chartered Accountant in South Africa, CFA Charterholder, and serves as an Examinations Committee member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
