Bing Ji

Bing Ji is an Adviser to the Board of Gemcorp Capital, bringing deep experience in Asian financial markets and institutional investor engagement.
Based in Hong Kong, Bing has spent much of his career building relationships across China’s financial ecosystem, working closely with official institutions, insurers, corporates and other major financial organisations. His experience spans global asset management as well as domestic Chinese financial institutions, giving him a broad perspective on capital flows between international and local markets.
Prior to becoming an adviser to Gemcorp, Bing spent 15 years at BlackRock. As Head of China Client Business, he was responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of institutional clients across the country. From 2020 to 2022, he served as CEO of BlackRock’s wealth management joint venture in Shanghai, a landmark partnership with China Construction Bank and Temasek, focused on expanding access to investment solutions for Chinese investors.
Before joining BlackRock in 2008, Bing held roles at Morgan Stanley, Bank of China Investment Management and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, building experience across both international and domestic financial institutions.
Bing is a CFA charterholder and holds an MBA from the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, a MSc from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a BSc (Cum Laude) from Nanjing University of Science and Technology.
