CEO & Founder of Gemcorp Capital honoured with Peace and Development Medal by President João Lourenço

<p><strong>Luanda</strong>, – Atanas Bostandjiev, founder and CEO of Gemcorp Capital, was awarded the Peace and Development Medal by the President of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço, as part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of national independence.</p><p>The distinction recognizes Gemcorp’s contribution to the country’s economic and social development, particularly through investments aimed at diversifying the economy, creating jobs, and strengthening education and healthcare sectors.</p><p>Over the past decade, Gemcorp has consolidated its presence in Angola with impactful projects, including the construction of the Cabinda Refinery (the first built in the country since independence), financing the modernization of essential infrastructure in the energy and water sectors, and supporting social programs designed to empower communities and create conditions for inclusive and sustainable growth.</p><p><em>“Being honored with this medal carries deep significance.
