President of Gemcorp Capital Advisors LLC, Portfolio Manager

Ahmad Al-Sati is Portfolio Manager of the Gemcorp Commodities Alternative Products strategy (GCAP) and President of Gemcorp Capital Advisors LLC, based in New York. He is responsible for leading Gemcorp’s commodities-focused investment strategy and overseeing the firm’s US advisory platform.

Ahmad brings a cross-disciplinary background spanning credit investing, special situations and real-asset finance. His work focuses on providing bespoke capital solutions, structuring resilient capital stacks and investing across global debt markets, with particular expertise in commodities and resource-linked businesses.

Prior to joining Gemcorp, Ahmad was President of Pandion Mine Finance and RiverMet Resource Capital, where he led investments in the precious metals sector and managed the day-to-day operations of the registered investment adviser. Earlier in his career, he was an Investment Partner and voting member of the Investment Committee at Albright Capital, a global investment firm focused on emerging markets. He began his asset management career managing credit and distressed funds in the United States.

Originally trained as a lawyer, Ahmad started his professional career as a corporate bankruptcy and transactional attorney. This legal and structuring background continues to inform his investment approach, particularly in complex and cross-border transactions.

Ahmad holds a JD from Columbia Law School and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business. He is a member of the New York Bar.
